The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA)- Singapore, in coordination with the Philippine Embassy and the Migrant Workers Office in Singapore, provides social and welfare programs and services to its member-OFWS, as follows:
A. Welfare Assistance
- a. Conciliation / Advice on employee-employer concerns;
- b. Endorsement of requests for assistance to the Migrant Workers Office (MWO), if necessary;
- c. Conduct of Jail / Hospital / Camp visitations
- d. Provision of psychosocial interventions through engagement of competent professionals, practitioners and/or institutions;
- e. Provision of dignity/hygiene kits to member-OFWs in distress; and
- f. Provision of financial/relief assistance to member-OFWs under the Workers Assistance Program.
B. Repatriation Assistance
- a. Coordination with the employer / employment agency for the provision of repatriation ticket;
- b. Provision of free transportation and/or airport assistance, if necessary; and
- c. Coordination with the OWWA Repatriation Assistance Division (RAD) for airport assistance in the Philippines, if necessary.
C. Reintegration Preparedness
- a. Access to training / learning activities towards reintegration preparedness; and
- b. Endorsement to OWWA Regional Welfare Offices (RWOs) for availment of other OWWA Programs and Services implemented in the Philippines.
D. Membership Promotion and Collection.
- a. Participation to community / outreach programs organized by the Philippine Embassy and/or partner institutions;
- b. Maintenance of membership collection facility/window at the Philippine Embassy-Singapore.
